Acupuncture can address a wide variety of imbalances, including stress, anxiety, pain, mood disorders, fatigue, insomnia, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, to name a few.

Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Santa Fe, New Mexico

bodywork

Bodywork is used to support acupuncture treatments. For musculoskeletal issues, bodywork is used to manually release tension in the muscles and connective tissues. For systemic issues, bodywork is used to support relaxation. I draw from training in Swedish, Thai and Chinese Tui Na manual therapies to compliment most acupuncture sessions. Gua sha, a scraping technique can be used to address tension and scar tissue, and release heat from areas of inflammation.

herbal medicine

I custom blend herbs to treat a wide variety of imbalances, including hormonal imbalances such as menstrual irregularity menopausal symptoms and thyroid conditions, sleep disturbances, fatigue, infections, mood disorders, stress, pain, digestive issues and more. Selecting from a couple hundred single herbs, I individualize every formula that I make while drawing from Classical Chinese prescriptions. Herbs are given as granules that dissolve in hot water to be taken as tea.

Fire Cupping Therapy in Santa Fe, NM

cupping

Fire-cupping uses a flame to create a vacuum inside glass cups. Suctioning the tissue upwards helps to release tension patterns, heat and stagnation in the tissues. Cupping has a variety of applications, including muscular tension and pain, respiratory symptoms (by cupping over the lungs), heat imbalances, stress relief and emotional release. Cupping leaves circular marks that do not usually hurt, and will fade over a week or so following treatment.
